How to attract your ideal clients

In order to find your ideal clients, you must first look at your branding and the messages that you send out online. It can be very frustrating waiting for the right clients to come along, but these points will hugely help you pull in your perfect clients.
Professional user-friendly website design

Depending on the survey you’re reading, between 75% and 94% of potential clients will base their snap judgment on the website’s design. Never judge a book by its cover they say… but we all do. If you are after more ‘high net worth’ clients then the first thing you need to do is bring your website up to a high standard. This doesn’t have to cost the earth, just a couple hours of research and a conversation with a good web designer.

Always use professional images

Make yourself visible on the website but more importantly use a professional photographer when you do this! There are too many people that grab a wedding photo from the last wedding they attended and think that this is enough for their website. By using this image you are telling your potential client that you a) you can’t afford a professional headshot or b) you can’t be bothered to get one shot, which ties in with your brand.

Sites containing high-quality images get 94% more views than those that are purely text-based. That percentage alone should be enough to make adding images to your site a top priority.

Create amazing ‘About Us/Me’ pages

People want to know who they’re doing business with. The ‘About’ section is a very important page that definitely gets overlooked. This is the place to tell your brand story, demonstrate your true self to potential customers and show them they can trust you. Make sure you include your awards and company achievements if you have them.

Show evidence that you can add value.
Testimonials are a great way of selling your services. By getting your satisfied customers to sing your praises for you, will give a little reassurance to those who are hesitating over making a purchase. I would recommend that not only do you have a dedicated testimonial page but you scatter them around the website so you are backing up your services on each page. They don’t have to belong just short clean snippets that will win you business and add credibility.

“Clients or customers are always more credible sources than you are”

Another way to do this is if you’ve been featured in a magazine, newspaper article or mentioned on a well-respected online publication, make sure you include this in your website.

Secure your website with SSL

“SSL” is short for Secure Sockets Layer. If you are selling online then you will definitely want one of these. This will protect your customer’s credit card details and give them more of a reason to purchase from your website. Not only does it protect your customers from credit card fraud it will also keep your lists safe from reseller lists if you send out weekly, monthly electronic newsletters. See the below images to see where this appears on your website.

Social Media
Some people judge the credibility of a business by its social media following, so make sure this is one of the first things they see when landing on your site. If you haven’t got a big following then showing social media feeds that are up to date will create the same effect. Customers want to see that you are easily contactable on all phone, email and social media.

Award Winner

If you have ever won an award for your work in your industry then you definitely want to make sure that this is present on your website. You can do this by mentioning this in your ‘About’ page or better still if you have a Badge that you can put on the footer of the website this will be a great visual for visitors to your website.

I hope these points have given you something to think about when looking to attract your ideal clients. It’s not easy ticking all the boxes when you first start a business but hopefully as you grow you can invest in making your online presence the best it can be using some of the above.
